Why does it seem the biggest challenge today is teaching people to be respectful of others? It starts early and apparently is an ongoing process even for adults. For example, currently in our state we have a a gubernatorial race and the tea party/republican party candidate has been quoted in national news as stating he would tell our current president to go to hell. I heard that, read it and thought really? Yet he leads in the polls and I can not understand why. You don't have to agree with someone, but to tell the commander and chief of the the most powerful nation to go to hell....seems rather um IMMATURE!!!! Respect, when you manage to run one of the most powerful nations in the world and you are trying to find a way to fix a mess that is almost as bad as the Great Depression which took 6 years and a world war to fix. So how about some respect for a president who has inherited two wars, an economic mess and a deficit created by the party who is notorious for creating financial messes and yet claims to be fiscally responsible. 19 months to fix 8 years of lies, constitutional violations and a huge deficit which did not exist until Bush came into office. As a native Mainer I am stunned, this is a state based on being respectful of other people and being proud of our Yankee stubbornness and independence. This attitude does not work in Maine perhaps Mr. Lepage should go to somewhere else to spew his disrespectful attitude
